While plotting the course for this grand voyage, Chris Prelog encouraged his Windstar team to push the limits. “A lot of guests want to do a longer itinerary right after the first of the year; get away to someplace nice and warm for the winter,” says the cruise line’s Chief Operating Officer.  “This is an extended adventure they’ve never been able to have with Windstar before.”
 
And what an adventure it will be: 56 sun-kissed days, visiting 25 countries and 36 ports across the British Virgin Islands, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, and beyond, covering the full depth and breadth of the region — from tiny yachtsmen’s favorites to glitzy celebrity getaways, from historic colonial towns to the engineering marvel that is the Panama Canal. “I love that this is a complete circumnavigation of the Caribbean Sea,” Chris says. “I don’t know of another cruise line doing that.” Guests can take full advantage of Wind Surf’s onboard Watersports Platform with plenty of late-evening departures, as well as overnights in Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, and St. Lucia’s Pigeon Island — while being among the first to enjoy the ship’s redesigned spa, one of many new enhancements coming this fall. Chris is particularly excited about calls in Costa Maya and Cozumel, two locations that Windstar hasn’t visited in years: “Cruising into Costa Maya on the world’s largest sailing ship will be beyond spectacular.”
